How I began my journey…
I was born into a world of chaos, with seven older siblings under the age of ten all living together in a small house. Before my first birthday, another baby was on the way, and three more followed in quick succession for a total of 12.
It didn’t take long for me to learn that my voice was lost in the whirlwind of this large family. I often felt unseen, unheard, and unloved. I wore hand-me-downs that hung from me like old sacks and started working after school and weekends at the age of 12. Life seemed hard, and hopeless.
I watched my big sisters become teenage mommas, struggle with depression, fall into drugs, run away, drop out of school, and eventually mate with what we would now call abusive men.
I watched my little brothers grapple with shyness, lack of confidence, and lack of direction, while eventually settling for a life of the same.
And me – I read about, and dreamt of, something different.
I had one eye on my small world, filled with chaos and suffering, where this mass of humanity – my family and many of the people I knew – struggled to get by and seemed to feel as if they had no agency, no ability to do anything other than let life happen to them.
With the other eye, I envisioned a different way of living, filled with abundance and joy, an amazing world of my dreams, where anything was possible and where there were no limits on the magic I could create in my life.
I put myself through college, traveled, and learned about other viewpoints and other philosophies of life. I raised a family, owned multiple businesses, earned my private, instrument, and commercial pilot’s licenses, and finally realized that I must empower others to step out of disfunction, and into their own greatness.
Yes, the reality is that we are all made in greatness. We are all powerful and full of magic. The trials of the world, and the words and actions of others, can beat us down so that we forget this truth. But it still lies there, dormant, within us. We all have a beautiful and important purpose to fulfill on this earth. Yet, so many of us suffer away our lives, in the illusion of powerlessness and hopelessness.
Your life is a sacred adventure, a unique story, a song only you can sing. The world needs you to remember and share your message with the rest of us. You are not here by chance. You have a part to play….Come, I can show you how to remember. I love you.
Out of years of teaching, life coaching, and mentoring, I realized that most of humanity suffers because they are lacking the basic skills that serve as guardrails to keep them on the road of goodness. Transforming your life into one of abundance – in every area! – does not require living in a cave or doing acts of penance. It is so much simpler and more accessible than that. You just have to teach yourself the skills. And that is my mission on earth: to show you how to practice the skills that will begin your transformation.
